Thank you to everyone who has participated in our Cards for Soldiers program, and all who are interested in participating and showing support to our troops overseas! Currently the platoon we have been sending cards to is coming home! YAY!!! But at the same time Chaplain Banks (who we started the program for) is on his way back over for his second round of duty in March. So we will be starting shipments to him in April.
All cards should be A2 size (one half of an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet, folded in half), as we have envelopes donated for our Program. If you make a larger card please be sure to clip an envelope that fits with it. Please remember to leave the cards blank on the inside, with a self-stick note from you (or your child) to the soldier if desired.
General Occasion cards are ALWAYS welcome with any of the rounds below, including Birthday, Miss You, Thank You, etc. Seasonal themed cards are also always welcome (Summer, etc.)
The address is:

Pam, I am the Project's rep. to the Creativexpress forum and was happy to find the 2008 schedule. I'll post this schedule to our CX forum and encourage the people there to participate in this project. I also have 2 groups of ladies here in my hometown who make cards for this Cards for Soldiers project. This month in these groups we are voting on our projects for the year, so I am extremely glad to find this schedule. Thanks. My email address is skhoney@tsixroads.com if you need to get in touch with me. I'll try to check in here from time to time. Thanks. Sue (aka GranShoo)
Thanks so much for taking this on, Pam. As you know, my sweetie, aka Web Boy, has already got the link up on my website. I plan to blog about this tomorrow on myspace, and maybe we'll pick up some more contributors. And thanks to all the political debates -- don't have to actually LOOK at the TV for those -- and the TV writers' strike, I've been able to get a lot more cards done!
I already have a bunch of general occasion ones saved up I made while waiting for a new schedule I'll send off to you in the next week or so. Smooches!
